The in-wall wire is 14 guage or maybe 16. Very short runs -- less than 8 feet to front speakers, 2.5 ft to center channel, maybe 20 feet to rear. And to be clear, the volume didn't drop BY 10% output, it dropped TO 10%, or a 90% decrease. (no, I didn't measure that, it's a guesstimate).

Speakers are 6 Ohm.

The weird thing is the center channel. No in wall wiring, so when I set up the system I just ran a single, 14/1 to the HF post. Had the same issue until I bi-wired it. Just strange to me.
